Gail L. Alley

Gail Alley has been a committed member of the Scioto County Recorder's Office since June 1991, working under the late Irene Ashley before running for and becoming the County Recorder in 2013. With over three decades in the office, 11 of those years as Recorder, she has demonstrated a profound dedication to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of land records, skillfully integrating historical preservation with technological advancements. Gail is married to Duke Alley and is a mother and grandmother, with a family that includes two children, Devin and Matthew (married to Amanda), and three grandchildren, Amari, Ryleigh Anne, and August. An active member of the Scioto County Democrat Party and the Ohio Recorders' Association, Gail and her family are part of the Wakefield Freewill Baptist Church community. Her long-standing service in the Recorder's Office showcases her deep understanding and expertise in public land record management.
